Shape how care is delivered — not just deliver it
Looking for a role where you don’t just deliver care — you shape how it’s delivered?

Strong care services aren’t built from policies alone. They’re built in real time — out in the community, where care is actually happening.

This role is designed for someone who understands that.

As a Quality & Practice Lead, you’ll play a key operational role in maintaining care standards, supporting carers in practice, and strengthening service delivery across domiciliary care.

This is a specialist, field-based role focused on quality, visibility, and real-time support — not line management.

Why this role stands out
✅ Specialist quality & practice role within domiciliary care
✅ No direct line management — influence through hands-on practice
✅ Focus on live care delivery, not retrospective audits
✅ Bridge the gap between care plans and real-world delivery
✅ Key role in embedding standards across new and existing staff

What you’ll be doing
You’ll be out in the community, supporting care where it actually happens:

Provide hands-on, field-based support to carers during live visits
Carry out spot checks, observations, and competency assessments
Ensure care plans are followed safely and consistently
Identify gaps between planned care and delivered care
Reinforce best practice with immediate, practical guidance
Respond to operational pressures, including:Staff sickness
Late or missed calls
Increased customer needs
Support the safe onboarding and stabilisation of new care packages
Support new carers in building confidence and delivering care safely
Identify emerging risks and escalate appropriately
Participate in the management on-call rota

What you’ll bring
NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent experience)
Strong background in domiciliary / community care delivery
Experience supporting staff in practice (not just managing on paper)
Confidence working independently in a field-based role
Strong understanding of care quality, safety, and person-centred care
Good IT skills (digital care systems)
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Desirable:

NVQ Level 4 or 5 (or working towards)
Experience in practice observations, mentoring, or quality roles
Understanding of CQC standards and compliance expectations

Does the job role include personal care?: Yes

Working Patterns:

Working pattern
37.5 hours per week
Rotating early / late weekday structure
Participation in the management on-call rota
Full-time, permanent
