Teignbridge (TQ12)
We’re looking for someone to join our small, dedicated team providing care and support to people living in and around Newton Abbot. We are looking for someone who is able to work 5 days on with 3 days off in an alternating pattern. The job might be part-time or full-time, depending on your availability.
We are a small care provider with a reputation for providing ‘the gold standard of care’. We’re proud of every single member of our team, and we work together to help the people we look after feel supported.
This role will entail providing a variety of support for the people we visit, including (but not limited to) personal care, meal preparation, companionship, sitting services, and accessing the local community.
‘Teign Angels have changed our lives’. ‘I feel I have my own support group’. ‘I don’t know what I’d do without you lot’. These have all been said by people we support and their relatives; if you want to join a team that people say these and more about, then get in touch! We’re happy to have an informal chat before you apply, if you’d prefer.
Travel expenses details:
Paid travel time, and mileage reimbursement of £0.45 per mile
Does the job role include personal care?: Yes
Working Patterns:
Negotiable, but will ideally include evening availability. Availability on a 5-on, 3-off pattern would be a bonus.
Essential details:
- Please note that we are unable to provide sponsorship for international workers. You must already have the right to live and work in the UK.
- You will be supported to deliver all responsibilities in your role. We deliver our training programme with our in-house Training and Learning Facilitators. We cover a wide variety of subjects, far beyond the statutory minimum. And by delivering it ourselves, we can get to know how you learn best and relate content to real-life examples we come across every day.
- We have a strong, stable team with us: over half of our current team has been with us since our first 6 months (nearly 10 years ago!). We build up regular care and support teams for everyone we support, so that we can get to know them and how they like things to be done.
- The successful applicant must have a valid driving licence and access to their own vehicle. We will provide you with a parking permit, uniforms, PPE, and other items completely free of charge.
- We pay £12.40 for care and support on weekdays (07:00-20:00), and £12.92 for all visits after 20:00 and all day on weekends. All bank holidays attract double-time payments.
- Pay will increase from April 2026.
