Due to an internal promotion, we are offering a rare opportunity for an Advanced Social Worker to join us in our specialist Adult’s Emergency Duty Service:
About us
Our Adult’s Emergency Duty Service (EDS) provides key responses to urgent out-of-hours contacts in respect of adults with care and support needs and adult safeguarding concerns across Devon. We are a small team made up of 3 social care assessors, 3 advanced social workers and 1 team manager.
Shifts include working 16:00 – 02:30 hrs evening shifts and weekend day shifts on a 6-week rolling rota basis and providing on-call provision overnight.
We offer a 20% unsocial hours allowance in addition to your salary.
About you
- You will be a qualified and currently registered experienced Adults Social Worker.
- You will have strong experience within working in a statutory social care setting.
- You will be forward-thinking with a solution focused approach to social care practice.
- You will have robust thresholds and clear decision-making skills.
- You will have excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication in creating and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external partners.
- You can work independently, autonomously and effectively support other members of the team
- You have a full UK Driving Licence and can conduct community visits as and when required by the service across Devon
