Domestic Assistant/Cleaner

Domestic Assistant based at Coppelia House, Moretonhampstead, full time or part time hours avaliable, including alternate weekends.

£12.25 per hour and £12.50 per hour on Weekends.

The role

The Domestic Assistant role is one of our most important roles and as part of this role you will:

• Work as part of the team to provide the best care for the people living in our homes.
• Be passionate about helping others
• Clean bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal areas to ensure people living in our homes are as comfortable as possible.
• Help maintain a clean and safe environment
• Ensure equipment is maintained and stored correctly.
• Be happy to operate vacuum cleaners, floor polishers, carpet cleaners etc.
• Ensure Health and Safety and COSHH regulations are adhered to at all times.
• Assist in laundry as required, including collecting washing, drying and ironing.
• Comply with policy and procedures in relation to infection control and prevention.
• Be full of energy, work hard with plenty of resilience, but go home knowing that you have made a difference to someone’s life
• Contribute to ensuring our home is filled with laughter and love, encouraging people in the home to be involved in activities and social events.
• Welcome new people, visitors and families into the home
• Treat all people with respect, warmth and kindness
• Get to know people building lasting relationships.
• Understand individual likes and dislikes, what matters the most to them and their background stories in order to be a part of the next chapter in their lives.
• Be involved in handovers, and staff meetings to seek new ideas and adapt the way we work.
• Complete all mandatory training, ensuring compliance at all times.
• Carry out any other duties as required
