Three Support Workers
Are you passionate about changing the life of a young person. Do you want to be part of team that provides high-quality support and care to help them thrive?

We are seeking three support workers from September 2024 to work with a 13-year-old young lady with a brain injury in her own home in the Torquay area.  You will be supporting her to develop her everyday opportunities, creating fun and developmental activities that support her wellbeing and independence.  As well as supporting play, therapy and social & leisure outings, the role will involve personal & domestic care. You will also be supporting family activities and overnight care.

As the young lady is not in full-time education, this will include weekdays and weekends.

Previous experience is not essential but a desire to work within a care setting.

Full driving licence is essential as you will be expected to drive the client’s vehicle.

An NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in care and competent IT skills are desirable.

 

93 hours per week on a flexible basis to cover a 24/7 rota.

£13.00 per hour weekday rate

£15.00 per hour weekend rate

Night rates will be paid at NLW (currently £11.44 per hour)

This position requires a fully enhanced disclosure request from the DBS.

You will also be required to register with the DBS Update Service.

Female applicants only due to the nature of personal care required.
