As a leadership group we work with openness and transparency, we ensure that everyone in the wider team has their voice heard and that everyone is listened to. We actively ensure that all staff contribute to the ongoing development of our service through delivering test and change.

As a core member of the leadership group in this team you will actively contribute to service development both internally to CDPS and occasionally work in a collaborative approach with colleagues from the other two CDP centres.

Alongside your role in CDPS you will be an active contributor to the wider team management group in South and West Devon. You will be able to actively contribute to service delivery and standards through a partnership and peer leadership model.

As a team manager in the assessment and review team you will be responsible for:

  • line managing a group of staff.
  • Ensuring that staff work in accordance with legislation when undertaking care act assessments and reviews.
  • As a leader you will ensure that all staff are undertaking assessments in a strength-based approach, using the three-conversation model, and establishing the right journey to support and maximise individuals’ independence.
  • Undertake supervisions, appraisals, manage sickness absence, support staff development and work in accordance with DCC policies and procedures.

You will need to be able to achieve the following:

  • Work within a duty management system and contribute to the Saturday working rota.
  • Can manage competing priorities for yourself and the team.
  • Be committed and champion equality and diversity and ensure all staff understand and promote Devon Equality and Diversity policy.
  • Champion our priorities and ambitions to improve the lives of adults, carers, and families.
