Kitchen & Domestic Assistant

About us:

• A Family run residential home with in Tavistock locality. The home is an old manor house with a lot of history set in lovely grounds.
• Home to 20 residents all with very different needs.
• Good team, friendly and motivated.
• Good freshly cooked meals all done on sight including cakes .

Domestic Duties:

• Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
• Clean and sanitize bedrooms and communal areas and replenish supplies
• Empty rubbish bins and replace liners
• Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces
• Maintain cleanliness in common areas such as hallways, and toilets
• Follow cleaning procedures and safety guidelines
• Report any maintenance or repair issues to the manager or senior on shift
• Adhere to health and safety regulations

Kitchen Duties:

• To prepare food and cook in a hygienic manner.
• To be aware of the residents dietary needs and respond to their comments and requests in respect of the menu.
• To be involved with the preparation and serving of breakfast.
• To hold a suitable food and hygiene certificate.
• To dispose of waste correctly.
• To ensure that all food is used within the prescribed period, with particular attention paid to perishable goods.
• To contribute in the serving of food.
• To perform other such reasonable duties as may be required.
• To attend staff meetings when required.
• To attend training session when required.

Does the job role include personal care?: No

Working Patterns:

Kitchen Assistant shift- 07.30 to 2pm

Domestic shift - 8am to 1pm

Alternative weekends.
