Night Support Worker

Positive Steps Care & Support Ltd are looking for passionate and experienced support workers to join our fantastic organisation.

We are seeking a positive support worker to provide support to a service user requiring night support between the hours of 21:00 – 07:00 to assist with personal care, repositioning, medication and to give reassurance if required. Due to the nature of Positive Steps Care & Support every day is different and we aim to provide support to enable staff to safely carry out their work.

Responsibilities

To enable support, responsibilities will include:

• Supporting client’s with general care and support duties.
• Supporting the Client with medication requirements.
• Working in accordance with the expectations and policies of Positive Steps and the expectations of the client’s we support.

About you

The attributes we are looking for in a successful candidate include:

• A person who is positive, enthusiastic, compassionate and a friendly individual to help support our service users, you need to be prepared to take on duties required by the service users.
• A minimum of 6 months experience within health and social care, ideally with knowledge and experience in the areas of any of the following. Dementia, physical disability, Autonomic Dyslexia and Spinal injuries. However, transferable skills and personal experience will be considered.
• A full clean driving licence will be preferred due to location. However, not essential if willing to access public transport to shift.

• A comprehensive training package, including mandatory training packages; role specific training; inclusion on QCF level 2 (dependent on your current qualifications); Ongoing training and supervisions will be provided.
• You will have a dedicated Care Manager and access to a 24 hour On-call service. There are friendly, positive staff working in head office who are always happy to assist.
