Job Overview
Personal care assistants are required for a male living in the PL6 area of Plymouth. I’m looking for fun, enthusiastic and reliable individuals to enrich this young man’s life on a day-to-day basis. You will help with personal care, morning routine, food prep/via gastrostomy tube, night-time routine and support him to attend social activities in the community and medical appointments.
I am looking for a team of PA’s who can drive and have some experience in care and hoist training.
Further training will be provided.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Personal care is required, assisting client with getting washed dressed in the mornings
- Assisting client with bedtime routine, bathing and showering
- Double up’s in the morning/evening & daytime to help the client get ready, for outings and activities
- Helping with food and drinks preparation via gastrostomy tube
- Administering Medication
- Any other reasonable task to allow the person to live independently.
Essential requirements
- Driver comfortable with driving automatic Disability vehicle
- Enhanced DBS required. Cost met by employer
- Legally entitled to work in the U.K
- Taking and Collecting from Respite
Desirable requirements
- Experience in health & social care
