This friendly, established care team is seeking a full-time person. We are seeking someone who would deliver great quality care and provide continuity across the care team allowing the team to develop. The person we are looking for will be able work days, evenings, and weekends. The various shifts between 08.00 – 23.00hrs.
The man you will be supporting is in his 30’s living with a Neuromuscular condition. The job involves personal and medical care and support with daily life. UK manual driving licence is essential for this role.
You will be willing and keen to learn. Understand the role of supporting someone with a long-term condition, while accessing everyday activities. You will be happy to support at home, out and about and on holiday.
Responsibilities
- Management of 24 hr non-invasive ventilation and cough assist.
- Maintaining medical needs while out in social environments
- Manual handling and use of a ceiling track hoist.
- Assistance with feeding and personal care.
- Giving medication
- Assisting with daily physio
- Light domestic duties
The person we are looking for will be:
Considerate, caring and able to work co-operatively within the team.
Comfortable with holding responsibility and lone working.
Able to work various shifts to meet the requests of this man.
Willing to complete training.

Full training and shadow shifts are given in all areas of this man’s care. Experience in care is an advantage, however, aptitude and empathy and a willingness to learn are equally important.
