What you’ll be doing
You’ll work with individuals aged 17+ transitioning into adult services, supporting those with physical and learning disabilities, long-term health conditions, and safeguarding needs. Using a strengths-based approach, you’ll empower people to live independently and safely in their communities.

You’ll be at the heart of person-centred care, using your professional expertise to assess needs under the Care Act, support decision-making in line with the Mental Capacity Act, and protect adults at risk.

Your relationship-building skills will shine as you work closely with service users, families, care providers, and health professionals—empowering people to live independently and safely in their communities.

Career growth that’s built around you
We have implemented the first phase of a new Social Worker Career Pathway within Adult Services, offering roles at either Social Worker (Grade F) or Experienced Social Worker (Grade G) levels. These roles are aligned with the Professional Capability Framework (PCF), providing a clear and structured route for career progression.

Candidates will be assessed against PCF domains during the interview process to determine their appointment level. Those starting at Grade F can progress to Grade G by demonstrating development through a portfolio of evidence, supported by ongoing learning and supervision.
