Training & Development:
Back in 2015, we received clear feedback from our team that eLearning alone did not equip them with the skills to support the people that choose to live with us; eLearning did not equip them for the emotional challenges that they would face on a daily basis.
So, we began to develop our own inhouse learning and development programme. That programme, now in its’ fourth year, has seen the well being of both family members and team members increase exponentially. This training is for all grades, all departments, all age groups and all genders.
Please click here and visit CONNECTIONS COUNT to read more about our training and our model of care.
We also use The Skills for Care training targets to ensure that our Care Assistants fulfil the aims of Hatherleigh Nursing Home and meet the changing needs of the people living within their home.
No other provider invests this level of time and cost into their teams.
We recognise that training not only improves the care home but improves the quality of life for those you care for by providing for them in the safest, most appropriate way. Furthermore, individual team members benefit by improving their own skills which hopefully will stay with them forever.
· Care experience is not required as full training will be provided
· To have a genuine passion to care for people
· Be able to communicate at all levels
