Plymouth
Introduction
I am a 45 year old lady who has suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury, however, I am recovering well. I have suffered from Seizures, however I have not had one for a while. I do struggle to remember things so need a little support with prompting to remind me. I have 2 Cats and a dog. I use a walker when I am outside. I used to be an outgoing person with 8 Horses and would be out with them all day. If I wasn’t riding the horses I would be out kayaking. I also used to enjoy swimming. It would be great to be able to go swimming again.
Duties
I can sometimes loose my balance when standing so I need a little support during personal care, being on standby in case I fall and I may ask for help with areas I can not reach. Also I need prompting to take my medication.
I would like someone to take me shopping and support with a little food prep, more importantly reminding me to turn the oven on/off. Also the same with the washing machine if I have some washing to do. I would like some support with some general housework, like making my bed and emptying the hoover, also supporting with the washing, making sure that I have remembered to turn the machine on. I can do the majority of the housework but sometimes I struggle with my hands. I would like support with getting my dog to the groomers and I would like support to manage my bills. But more importantly for me is for someone to help me get out and about to promote my independence.
