Purpose of Role

To support clients to enjoy the best quality of life that they can in the comfort of their own homes.
Compassion, good communication and organizational skills together with a calm and caring manner are vital for this role.



Carry out initial assessments, together with the client and or their representatives, of what the client needs and what they would like to achieve from their care package, together with the relevant risk assessments
Create and agree a person-centered care plan supporting the person’s wishes and needs whilst promoting their dignity and privacy. Agree appropriate risk control measures to reduce identified risks. Keep care plans up to date on the PASSsystem and in the client’s home.
Provide the client with the relevant information about the service so that they know what to expect and how to raise concerns.
Keep all information about clients safe and confidential.


Ensure carers have appropriate information and guidance to effectively and safely provide care and support as agreed in the care plan.
Attending clients first call to introduce them to the carer. Report any changes to requested visit times to the office.
Support the Staff Manager with carers progress through the care certificate and their inductions.

Quality Improvement

Monitor the performance of staff and carry out quality reviews in the home of the client, ensuring that the service is being delivered in line with company procedures
Apply Mulholland Cares procedures and policies at all times and make sure accidents and incidents are recorded, reported and acted upon.
Make sure that care and support is provided in line with regulatory requirements.
Work effectively with the care manager, supervisors, senior managers, clients, their families and representatives and other professionals to deliver high quality homecare services.

Mulholland Care Team

Take part in staff and client meetings
Attend training, appraisals and development meetings.
This list is not exhaustive and from time to time you may be required to undertake additional duties. We will provide full training in line with regulatory requirements.

Working Patterns:

The hours for this role are flexible but largely office based between Monday to Friday 9am - 4pm.

There is a requirement to carry out some care visits which may include some evenings and weekends.
