Do you have experience of working with adults with ASD or learning disabilities who may also have complex behaviours?
Can you use your communication and people skills to provide exceptional care to service users including supporting their personal care needs and managing any behaviours of concern with confidence, creativity and consistency?
You’ll operate within the home and supervise whilst out in community settings providing hands-on-care to the people we support, so you can expect total involvement in everything we do.
At Westward we support 6 people with a range of needs. We support them to build independence and to be part of the community that they have lived in for numerous years.
£10 per hour
Full time and part time hours available
NVQ level 2 preferred but NVQ training available
For this vacancy you must have skills in positive communication and engagement. You should be able to demonstrate unconditional positive regard for the people we support and have skills in the assessment of needs along with positive and proactive risk management so that support planning for individuals demonstrates an active and fulfilling life with an emphasis on a ‘can do’ approach.

Due to the nature of our company all staff will be required to undertake a DBS check and referencing, The DBS will be either 1) Standard 2) Enhanced 3) Enhanced with Barred List Check, this will be service and role specific and can be discussed pre application if required
