Job Purpose: –  

Events: To provide leisure opportunities for adults with mental health issues.

One to One Service: To provide them with practical and emotional support.

Guaranteed 30 hours per month minimum.

You will provide emotional support or help with any problem that the member needs help with. This could include accompanying people to Citizens Advice appointments, repairing relationships with family or  friends, assisting with housing problems.

You will organise and lead at least 2 events per month, which must go ahead once they are advertised in the monthly newsletter. .[coach trips, ten pin bowling, visits to local towns etc]

Fuel allowance and other expenses paid.   Annual salary review.

The Support Worker must be prepared to occasionally work outside office hours ie occasional weekends, bank holidays or evenings. We do not have an office, admin work is to be done from home. While doing one to one work you will usually meet members in public places or occasionally in their own homes.

There would be a DBS check [criminal record] and a 6 months’ Probation period.
