Female Personal Care Assistant

I am a lady with Spinal Muscular Atrophy looking for a personal care assistant working on a one-to-one basis to help me with daily living tasks and personal care in my own home.

I am looking for a friendly, committed, calm and engaging person.  Experience working with adults with physically disabilities would be preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.

I currently have the following hours to cover

16 hours a week worked over Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday daytime 9:30 start.

Rate of pay £11.00 per hour, plus 5.6 weeks paid holiday per year.  This is a permanent job with a start date as soon as possible

Duties to include but not limited to:

• Personal care, including help with toileting, washing, dressing, make-up, preparing meals and feeding.
• Domestic duties cleaning, washing and ironing of clothes.
• Driving me in my adapted car for social outings, meetings, and work.

Other Requirements:

Have a current DBS (I can arrange this if you don’t have one)

Be able to provide two references

You must have a full clean UK driving license

Take twice weekly lateral flow test

Be punctual, reliable, and flexible with your working hours as you will need to be able to cover extra shifts for holiday and sickness

Be discreet and caring.
