Community Senior Care Assistant
Exeter
Managing a team of Community Support Workers, you will assist the Service Manager, provide supervision to your team and support the running of the service. Working part time on 30 hours per week on a flexible basis, ideally across Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Additionally, your role will involve:
– Developing care plans and risk assessments
– Assisting with leading, developing and motivating staff
– Motivating and monitoring the progress of clients
– Arranging rotas for Community Support Workers
– Ensure that individuals feel valued and respected at all times
– Report concerns and relevant observations to the Services Manager
About You
To be considered as a Community Senior Carer, you will need:
– Experience of leading a team
– Experience of working in the care sector
– A sensitive approach to vulnerable people maintaining their dignity and self-respect at all times
– Strong communication skills, especially with clients, carers and professionals
– The ability to keep accurate and up to date records
– Self-motivation and plenty of initiative
– A full, valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle
– A care qualification or equivalent
