About Us

Located between the Alphington and St Thomas areas of Exeter, Sainthill House and Cottage is a beautiful care home supporting 19 residents.

We have a team of committed and experienced colleagues in Care, Activities, Kitchen and Housekeeping, and the home is led by a highly dedicated and supportive Registered Manager. Rated good by CQC, and with aspirations to become outstanding in the future, we are now recruiting for a Deputy Manager to join the leadership team at Sainthill House.

About the role

Working towards our two constant goals of providing outstanding care for our residents and a wonderful place to work for our team, the successful candidate will take responsibility for

·        Ensuring residents and residents families are at the heart of care delivery

·        Providing the highest quality of care possible for residents

·        Maintain a high standard of record keeping and recording systems within the home

·        Overseeing the monthly rota to ensure suitable staff levels and skills mix at all times

·        Contributing to and completing a rigorous process of good governance and quality assurance

·        Carrying out team supervisions, appraisals and competency assessments

·        Supporting the manager with administration of the home, and step in to support in their absence

·        Provide on call support when required

About you

To be considered for this role you should have a good experience, at Senior Carer, Team Leader or Deputy Level.

You should demonstrate solid leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead a team.

You will be well organised, with the ability to juggle administrative, leadership and care responsibilities in your role.

You should have an NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Health or Social Care and / or Level 5 in in Management (or working towards)
