As a Chef, you will prepare and cook food in accordance with the agreed menu and recipes for all residents and staff. You will ensure that the food is prepared, cooked and kept to required standards in line with Food Hygiene Standards, meeting nutritional values and attractive presentation. You will also be responsible for the supervision of catering staff.
The ideal candidate will have at least an intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate along with a relevant qualification (such as City & Guilds or NVQ) in catering. You must be willing to work within the Adult Social Care Environment however previous experience within this sector is not essential for this role but you will be able to demonstrate experience in a similar role in a restaurant or dining room and have a range of traditional cooking skills along with previous experience of line management.
Weekly Hours: 30 per week, 1 in 3 weekends, 4 days a week.
