We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, highly motivated Band 5 Mental Health Practitioner to work within the Teignbridge Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team based at Estuary House, Newton Abbot.

We are a Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team comprising of Clinical Team Leader, Senior Mental Health Practitioners, Consultant Psychiatrist and a Business Support Administrator. We work with people experiencing severe mental illness who are in acute mental health crisis.

The primary roles and purpose of the team is to provide home treatment, avoiding hospital admission where possible and if admission is indicated, we work with clients throughout this time and endeavour to facilitate early discharge. We are very proud of the service we provide and are committed to providing high quality care to clients and their carers/families.

This is a developmental full time post working 37.5 hours per week. Our service currently operates Monday to Friday 0800 – 2100hrs and weekends/ bank holidays 0900 – 1700hrs. However, this is due to change this year to reflect cover 0800 – 2230hrs, 7 days a week.

It will be an essential requirement for newly qualified social workers to demonstrate that they have completed The Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) before commencing in post or there will be a requirement to complete this within the first 12 months of employment with the Trust.
